On this page, you will learn more about Bryce Canyon National Park. You will learn things such as why it's famous, what to do if you visit, and more!
Bryce Canyon History
J.W. Humphrey is the individual responsible for Bryce Canyon, and it started from a recommendation. Humphrey was advised to go visit the Paunsaugunt Plateau. Upon arrival, he was amazed by what he saw. Humphrey described Bryce Canyon as having "indescribable beauty." From there, things began to escalate and by 1923 it became a National Park. Since then, Bryce Canyon National Park has been visited by millions of people and is known for having the largest hoodoos.
A hoodoo is a rock formation that has one rock going up and down, and another rock sitting on top of it giving it a mushroom shape. Can you spot any hoodoo's in the image above?
